what is stress?

Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry or nervous. But when stress lasts for a long time, it may harm your health. 

Impact of Stress on your body

when you have chronic stress, your body reacts to stress differently, cause your muscles to tense and increase your pulse. Over time, this puts you at risk for health problems, including : 

1. Brain 🧠  : Difficulty in concentrating,             anxiety, depression, irritability, mood swings. 

2. Cardiovascular: Higher cholesterol, high       blood pressure, heart attack and cardio-stroke

3. Joints and muscles: Increased inflammation, tension, aches & pains and muscles stiffness. 

4. Immune system: Lowered immune defences. 

5. Gut: Diarrhoea, indigestion, bloating and discomfort in the stomach.

3. Go outside: Just 30 minutes outside from your home is enough to reduce stress. Even viewing the beauty of nature boosts happiness and calm your inner soul. 

4. Meditation: Mindfulness meditation helps to stay positive and energetic. 

5. Yoga: Yoga helps to slow down the heart rate, reduces blood pressure & slows the ageing process. 

6. Positive Affirmations: Repeating affirmations to yourself helps to drift negative thinking patterns.
